You need a Porsche specific scan tool like the Durametric system to activate the ABS/PSM system during the bleeding process to get the air out. Nothing else will work.

Is it possible that because ABS was not activated during the inadvertent pressure draining, that the ABS portion of the circuit did not drain?

I was hoping that the abs or the psm was not drained as the valves were shut. After re filling the system the brake pedal is hard until start engine then its slightly spongy

The ABS/PSM control system and pump are one of the highest locations in the braking network, and where air collects when the system is allowed to gravity drain. Fixing the issue is simple, the control system needs to be activated during a subsequent bleed, but that requires a Porsche specific tool to activate it.

This just probably means that the vacuum in the vacuum boost system leaked down when the engine was off.

You are going to need a Durametric or to take it to a shop. If the shop is close and without a lot of potential for panic stops, you can probably drive the car there, just be careful and allow for extra braking distance in case a panic stop surprises you.
