Bad window regulator???

Hello friends.
I have grindy/ cruchy noise coming from passenger side window in my 996 coupe. (When rolling window up or down)
I’m guessing it’s the common bad regulator assembly.
Anybody else that has replaced their regulator experience this symptom and noise? Planning to order a replacement - but don’t want to take it all apart twice. Would rather do the job once with new part in hand.

I would say yes, your regulator is on its way out. Mine made the same noise for a while and failed shortly thereafter.

Figured I would be replacing that regulator - but wanted verification that somebody else had similar symptoms.
