Central lock and alarm quirks
Hi All,
I have a 2001 911 Carrera 4 cab and have been having an issue with the central locking/alarm system. The key fob works perfectly if I have recently driven the car (within a day or 2) but if I leave the car to sit, when I try to unlock the car the remote is not responsive. If I unlock the car with the key the alarm disarms and I can start the car no problem. After doing so the fob now works again normally and will continue to work until the car sits again for 4-5 days. I ran a check with Durametric and no faults found for the alarm. Any ideas where to start. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Perfectly normal, the car goes to "sleep" in a power saving mode after a period of time, and you need to wake it up by using the key.
