Street/track oil
Hey guys not trying to start an ultimate oil thread. But what do you prefer to use for oil for a street car that will see a few days a year of track? Plan to change around every 3k. Have a 2002 Carrera.

I use Liqui Moly MolyGen 5W-40. I change my own oil and filter (thank you LN Engineering) about every 1,000 miles and try to time it so that I have changed the oil and filter just before a track day. The oil is A40 approved and has some Ceratec in it. It also glows under UV light so you can check for leaks. I know it seems like overkill, but I drive it like I did my Ducati and I keep the revs up all the time, no matter where I drive it. I think it is happier that way.

Thanks . Exactly what I was looking for. I was also looking at Motul as another option, anyone use that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by justinp71; 09-09-2022 at 08:26 PM.. |
