FS: 7R Magnesium case
7R Magnesium case. Case is in great condition. Torn down just one time for disassembly purposes and has just recently been cleaned.
Matching case halves: 454 911/85 6272586 (77 911S 2.7 USA) $4900 Buyer pays shipping.

The case was not painted.. It was vapor blasted.

Mag is very reactive. The case should be recoated. Seagoing ships use sacrificial blocks of Mg or Al to protect their hulls.

In photo #5 at very top can you relay any info as to the chip in the case where the distributor meets the crank gear ? Thanks Bert

That notch is cut in there to make room for the timing gear.

Vapor blasting is a slurry of glass beads and water .
