WTD caliper adapters - to allow 965 Turbo to 930 Turbo
Looking for a set of caliper adapters to mount the 965 Turbo rears to 930 Turbo.
Searched the net and don't seem to have any luck finding something 🤔. Cheers Dane. |

I Wonder

Hi Dane I don’t believe they exist. Unlike the fronts where adapters are made to mount radial to axial setups ie 993 to 930or 911,when doing axial to axial you have to plug holes and get shop to redrill for spacing. I believe that is the only option on rears because of spacing issues. Thanks Rob.

Hello Rob, I offered them up on my car on the weekend and it looks like filling and drilling wont work. as it pull the caliper to far down , the back of the throat will hit the disk.
cheers Dane. |

I may have a set of bigger brake calipers already set up for 930 struts.

965 rears can be mounted on NB 911s using a radial to radial adapter.
VCI makes some. Vehicle Craft Inc."VCI" Hi-Performance Brake Upgrades For Porsche Cars I don't know if they have an adapter for the 3.5" spacing of the 930, you can ask them. The calipers will have to be machined as well. I like this approach though, as it allows to fine tune the height and center of the caliper. If you're looking for more rear bias, you can also play with mixed pad compounds and use higher coefficients rear pads in your 930 calipers to achieve a similar ratio. Pagid's coefficient curves are available on their website. For example, 0.45 pads in front and 0.50 pads in rear would achieve a similar bias as the 965 calipers. |

Two options...
Machine them for radial mounting and brackets or plug the existing holes axial mounting and re-drill. Review this article... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/246332-993-caliper-mods-grinding-drilling.html |

Yes I would like to have them machined and mount with adapters.
