996 '01 Fuel pump relay

My '01 Carrera 2 has 100k km on the clock. Has been sitting in storage for the past 2 years. I did a DYI 100k service )all filters, oil and replaced a leaky radiator and the coolant. Car did not start and fault was traced to a dead fuel pump relay. Ordered a replacement and all was fine for about 100km and 10 days after which the new relay failed. Any suggestions? Poor quality relay? Fuel pump going bad and being the actual culprit?

In Europe so unfortunately VAT+Customs makes Pelican expensive to order from. I ordered an "OEM Part" from Design911. I did notice I got a black relay whereas the original part was grey with pink lettering. Pins and Amps matched.
