996 won't start
Symptoms:
Car (996 C4 tiptronic) won't start, However when connecting a simple OBD reader it starts. Keys can lock and unlock the car, dashboard light etc works fine even without OBD connected. Fuses under steering wheel ok. Brake switch ok. Anyone that have had the same issue or have some ideas where to start troubleshooting? Thx |

Thats quite bizzarro. My initial thought was an immobilizer, but that still doesnt make sense.
What symptoms did you have before this?

Maybe this is obvious but did you try with gear lever in neutral? Park switch may be worn?

Have you tried checking the park/neutral switch? It could be something simple like that. I've seen similar issues before where shifting to neutral got things working again.
