Is this the Mezger rattle on my 996 turbo?

Bought this turbo late last year and haven't driven it much, had to sort out a noisy window and change out the shifter for the 997 shifter (so much better!)

But I have been hearing this tinny rattle and I can't decide if it's the "Mezger rattle" or something else.

To me it sounds like a heat shield or something, and it's a little erratic so it doesn't really sound like the chain to me?

Hard to hear in the Video, I have a 02 Turbo that makes a chain like sound at startup is that the same thing?

This sounds a little more hallow than the chain rattle? And it only comes after the engine warms up, on cold start I don't hear it.

Not that this helps much, but I have a rattle on my 2002 996T also. I don't hear it until the car is warmed up. Mine gets worse when the AC compressor is on, although I'm not 100% sure if the compressor exacerbates the "base rattle" or it's a another rattle on its own. I had done some previous internet searches and it seems like it is a somewhat common issue with the 996TT and that many people chalk it up to being the "nature of the Mezger engine". That said, I'm hoping that I can eventually find a root cause to give me a little more comfort...
