911 996 Cabriolet - Soft Top closing issue

Hi All,

New to this platform and finding my way around. My interests are in aircooled and early watercooled models.

I have a 996 Cabriolet that has developed an issue with the soft top closing sequence.

When I press the soft top close button the softtop closes all the way but at the final stage the clasp at that closes to the top of the windscreen frame clicks but wont lock.

If I lift my figure off the closing button i can push the clash home and the sunroof warning light will go out.

I have lubricated all the mechanical parts but issue still they. Any one have suggestion as to how i fix or the likely cause?
