05 997.1 Engine Oil Sensor Failure

Hi,

We replaced the engine with a rebuilt one. Once installed we got the oil level sensor failure on dash. We tried clearing the code but it stayed on the dash. This is the type of sensor that goes from the top of the engine. We bought a new sensor and connected it without installing to test. We get the same 9113 code on the reader and the dash. We verified the wires from the sensor through the engine harness and they tested good. We even put the new sensor in a bag of oil to verify that.

We can clear the error on the reader but it still shows on dash. There was no error on the original engine.

On the oil level sensor wires we have the brown/orange and green/blue wires. It shows 10volts when the ignition is on.

The oil temp works and is on the black./brown and pink brown and it shows 5volts.

Any ideas on what else to test would be great. Thanks.
