How many billable hours does a radiator on the 951 take to replace ?

Does anyone have the 944 Turbo manual supplement on cd ? as well as chiltons labor times ?

Id say about an hour and a half taking your time. It looks like a big job till you take the airbox off then it all opens up

It's a bit more of a pain than that - not a real hard job per-se, but a lot of crap needs to come out. The air box, the fans (and in order to get 'em out, usually the plastic elbow off the water pump), the metal cross-pipe to cool the turbo, etc. I'd say an hour and half assuming you have the car up on jacks or ramps, the coolant drained and the belly pans off. Then maybe it'd be an hour and a half if you were working hard and had all the right tools and everything went exactly right. More like 3 hours I'd say for the whole job working at reasonable pace. Getting a replacement radiator in is a bit tricky too and takes some finagling. Not bad, but enough to make one paranoid about busting it or bending fins wiggling it into place.

Good luck!

Well my shop said he was gonna charge me 5.5 @75.00 hour to put a new one in, plus $380 for a new radiator.

So, where is the best place to get the radiator I need ? I guess Pelican ? Im going to be starting from scratch, so any suggestions on special tools I will need ?

Does the radiator come with everything I need ?

Including top and lower hoses ?
