Lean and Rich adjustment/guage
Have an 86 951 and I'm going to install a fuel mixture guage. However, where is the lean/rich adjustment or is there a manual adjustment? I'm new to the 951s and not sure where the adjustments are made. Also, any help on installing the guage, location and hook up?
Thanks, Don |

I'll have to check, it's one I had sitting around. It's new and never been installed in anything.

The only adjustment you have is for the idle mixture to set the CO (Carbon Monoxide) level.
To do this you need to install a jumper wire between pinn B and C of the diagnostic connector (the connector is located on the driver side fender), and connect a digital volt meter to the O2 sensor output. Connect a dwell tach to the coil, and insert a 6mm allen wrench into the bypass screw on the Air Flow Meter. Start the engine and let it come up to temperature. Set the DVM to read the 2 volts DC scale. Adjust the AFM by-pass to give a DVM reading of about 0.60 to 0.7 volts. NOTE You may need to adjust the idle by-pass on the throttle body to maintain 840 +- 50 RPM.
