Unhappy Boost drops on hard acceleration in second gear!

Oh man, I have another problem, jeez! Yesterday I took my 951 out for a spin and discovered that in second gear under full acceleration, boost climbed to 15 psi, and then seemed to reduce to 13ish and the car would sort of hesitate. I haven't tried third, fourth or fifth gears... but in first gear, the car pulls strongly and as it should.

It was exactly how a 951 feels when you forget to tighten the hard-pipe clamps all of the way and it dumps boost, (if you have ever experienced that) so naturally I checked all of the clamps and everything looks okay. I did recenly replace all of the vacuum lines in the car and I have one that does not seem the have a home. It is the one near the back of the Camshaft cover that goes straight down towards the ref. sensors. It actually has orange line as opposed to the usual black vacuum lines in the car. Does anyone know what this one might go to? Thanks so much!

Is it stock? If so, it sounds like you're hitting the boost cut-out.

Are you asking if the car is stock?? If so, it is not entirely stock... it is running an Autothority MAF and Stage II chips and has a lindsey Boost Enhancer. It does still have the stock BOV, Cycling Valve and Wastegate.

Also, as an update... I was wrong; the boost goes over 15 psi... I would say it is approaching 16-18 psi. Is it possible that I am experiencing the overboost cut out?

Almost certain that you're hitting cut-out if your boost is beyond what the chip is designed for.

that line sounds like it's the wastegate control line. danger warning: you are about to cause some serious damage.
