944 TPS pin diagram?
I'm using what I believe is the TPS from a 944 for my 930 EFI project and I'm having trouble figuring out which pin is which. The part number is 0 280 120 400 000. If this is the 944 TPS, does anyone know what the 6 pins go to? Thanks.

Mmmm, the 944 has a 5 pin connector of which only 4 actually have connections. Also, that PN doesn't appear to cross over to a Porsche part? I also crossed it with BMW #s, and it doesn't appear to cross over there either? I will check a couple of other references and see what I can find.

That is a Bosch part number.
It is a throttle position switch for a Turbo Looking at the switch itself with the two tabs up, pin 1 in on the right. Porsche never provided a pin diagram for that switch - here are the troubleshooting steps, you can infer a pinout from this.

Right now I've got it wired: pin 1 is 5V, pin 2 is 0V, and pin 3 is signal.
On test item 1.1, do you think they mean terminal 2 on the DME or on the TPS? If it's the TPS, then I do have pins 2 & 3 switched. On test item 2.1 they say check for 5V across teminals 1 & 2 which shows it's wired correctly now. Now I'm really confused.

Here is the schematic diagram:
![]() I suggest staying within the voltages as indicated. The potentiometer has a fixed scale. You will have to adapt your electronics accordingly.

Just to make sure I'm reading the diagram correctly, would you say #1 is 5V, #3 is signal, and #2 is 0V ?
