C4S clutch is TOAST
Went to start the car today (2004 C4S 68K miles) and the clutch stayed on the FLOOR! Then took for test drive and slipping completely. Next step..... should I consider something other than just a STOCK clutch replacement?? Drop the dual mass config?? Open to $$ideas$$ that could save money in the long run. eric

The stock clutch is actually pretty good. You should not have to replace the DMF unless it is damaged - 15mm of deflection, or the surface is trashed.

Thanks AFJ. That is good advice and I thank you for the reply. You seem to have the line on these cars and I thank you for your courtesy.

Just dropped it off at Rusnak Westlake for the clutch and some additional service. They shot me a fair price and with the fact "the Porsche shop" is behind the repair gives me good piece of mind. Thanks again for your input.
Regards, eric
