NEED HELP! Locked out of my own car...

here is the scoop. I bought a used 2000 996 c2 cab 5 months ago that was in really bad condition and have been rebuilding it as money comes in.
I bought the car with only 1 key, the remote on the key does not work. has not been a big deal, its on the list to get fixed. i have been using the key to lock and unlock the door.

So saturday night i locked the door and it felt like something broke inside the door. now my car is sitting locked, alarm armed and I have no way to get into it. I have the key in my hand .... bought it doesn't work.

I have called 2 locksmiths and neither said they could get into my car.

I was able to get into the trunk, but that doesn't help get in my car.

do I brake a window? how would the dealer get in? I am far from rich, the only dealer here in Tampa has already said it would be around $1k before everything is done.

somebody out there has had to of had this problem before.

I think I remember reading a thread on Renntech.com about a chord on the driver side wheel well thaat will get you into the trunk, and then another step to access the passenger compartment. Sorry not more help.

got in.... anybody that has this problem place a wedge between the front and rear windows straighten out a wire hanger; electrical tape the end up really well, reach in and pull the inner door handle.. worked for me anyway.
