Questions Re: Cabriolet Top

Hi,

I am a Porsche newbie. I recently bought a 2000 Carerra 4 Cabriolet. Several things need attention the first of which is a very slow operating Convertible top. I understand it is a hydraulic system.

Questions: 1) How do I explore the hydraulic system, to check if it is low on hydraulic fluid. 2)If this is not the fix do I replace the motor(s)? 3)Anyone know of a schematic that can help me. 4) How difficult is it to disconnect the hydraulic system and go manual if it goes out on me while on a trip?

Thanks,
Andy T

I remember seeing somewhere in the owners manual the way to raise the top manually. I will look again and get back to you.
