good price on 04

can someone tell me if this is a good deal?
2004 996 c4s 28k miles.
crub rash on two rims, pretty bad. 18s
Paint is good with a few small dings here and there nothing huge.
Interior is all leather with suede to no nav not sure what other options there are.
Interior is OK no rips a few scuffs on door jams and interior of doors.
Under car looks good no major scrapes. No signs or repaint or body work ( I worked at a body fender shop for a few years)
If and this is a big if Porsche dealer does a PPI and has records is
42K a decent price? I think its a steal but am not sure.
If I'm out of line asking this in the forum please forgive me as this is my first post and please re-direct me to where I should ask something like this.

Thanks!
Happy Holidays

Too high IMHO. I was looking at a '05 35,000 mile Porsche Certified C2 at $45K asking price! I have seen this car and it is an excellent vehicle. I know they would take $45K out the door. The prices on 996 are dropping through the floor. It does not sound like this is in great shape but it is a C4S. Offer $35K and see what happens.

You might want to check Ebay completed sales of cars like yours to see what they have sold for, it seems like a lot more 996 sellers than buyers, not a good time to be a seller.

I think that is a pretty decent price. While another poster compared this to an '05 C2...this is C4S....and in my opinion, the best looking 996 produced, especially with the rear reflector and super wide arse.

Yes, I am biased. I think you might be able to knock off a grand or two, but the options on that car are fantastic....it will have big reds, bose, bi xenons and some other nice looking stuff, but that wide arse is unbeatable.

Good luck!

I think we would all agree that $40K for this car is a good price. It would have been close to $50K a year ago.
