Carrera 4 and 2 differences
Okay so as of the other day I am officially almost a Porsche owner. I won a 996 on ebay and was going through the vehicle history report and it says its awd, but the car wasn't listed as a carrera 4 and the badge on the back says carrera. Are there any visual differences between the two. This is an early car and I noticed the turn signals are clear and not yellow. All the carrera 4's i've seen on google images are clear turn signals. Does this mean I have a Carrera 4?
Thanks Pierce |

Only sure way is to get the option codes and look them up at:
http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?autocom=options&code=carrera option M339 is the 4 wheel drive; M338 2 wheel drive; M620 e-accelerator (required for M339) What year is it? If there is a picture of the dash, you should see to the left of the radio/a-c a "psm off button" thats a good sign a early C4's all have PSM and C2's have Traction control
