Harsh Ride 2003 C4

One more question about my new ride...
I'm finding the ride pretty harsh on the Montana roads (especially the gravel ones). What are the options for tuning the ride to be softer. I'm currently on 225/40/ZR18 and 285/30/ZR18 Michelin Pilot Sports. It didn't appear according to the manual that changing the tire size was an option. I'm not so excited to think about changing about the suspension (but my wife is not very happy with the car).
Thanks,

John

Changing to different tires may help. My car came with P-Zero tires and when I changes to Potenza RE050 I was surprised by how much quieter and better handling they were. Actually, My Dunlop 3D winter tires were quieter and ride nice then either for some reason.

Check how old your tires are as well. That can make a difference.

Why not go to 17" and put taller tires on to get a little more give? Search for info on the Tire Rack web site.

If you are running on gravel roads you might want to look at the optional skid plate. They are less then $200 and could save many $$$ over a cracked oil pan.

Search for "Engine Skid Plate"
Here is a thread that shows the plate.
