brake pads - Mintex

I need to change the front pads and was wondering if anyone has used the Mintex pads? $92 less than the Textar pads. On other sites people have had good luck with them.
thanks

after looking at the 99 fronts...the mintex arent weighted though....textar and pagids are....they are weighted to make less noise...just a heads up.

Ok. thanks. I'll let you know how they are on the 996 once I get a chance at home to install them.

They're inexpensive, that's for sure. Hard driving will cook them though. I made the mistake of trying a pair of these cheepo mintex at the track one day. Literally, I had destroyed them in less than 5 minutes of track driving.

The Pagid and Jurid are a far better compound and I will not buy the cheepo Mintex again. That said, you may not notice the difference if this is a daily-driver commuter type of car for you.

Pagid, Textar and Mintex are all made by the same company (TMD Friction)

All depends on what you are buying for what type of use.
