Problem with radio on my 1 day old (to me) car
Hi all,
I just picked up my 2004 40th Anniversary yesterday, and it has been a blast. Today something happened to the radio - the volume is gone. Everything looks fine as far as operation goes, nothing wrong there but the sound is missing. This car has the Bose premium sound system - is there some sort of reset switch or anything that I can do? I am just about ready to bust out the owner's manual, but wanted to check if this was a common thing or if there was something I wasn't aware of. Is there a separate fuse for the amp? I noticed there appears to be an amp just above the spare tire. Worst case the CPO should cover the radio (that is what the salesman told me - they now cover everything). Thanks! Steve |

Latest Car & Driver said the Bose system can cause headaches. I've got it too, but no problems so far....
Did mess up the settings once, and found that deep in the menus there is a "reset everything to original settings" option. Not sure how different your car might be, but worth a look.... |

my 2003 with bose premium sound will do that once in a while. Twice a week when I first got it last 8-9 mos not at all??? The only way I can get it to reset is to pull the two fuses, radio and amp, on mine C6 & 7 I think. I marked them with whiteout to make them easier to find. From 2003 on you don't need to reenter radio codes.

If you have CPO warranty, why even bother messing with it? Just take it back to the dealer and let them sort it out on their dime.
