Spare Tire on '03 996?

Can anyone tell me if a "normal" spare tire was an option on the '03 Carrera, as opposed to the small inflatable spares that most models have?

Not sure about the '03's, but my 2000 has a fully inflated tire mounted on the back wall of the front trunk. It seems to be a normal spare - ie, small and narrow. If you are wondering about a full sized tire/wheel combo, I'd think it wouldn't even fit in there, to be honest.

Thanks for the reply. I was referring to the tire that you describe, not the "compact spare" that is in other models. Did your car come with an air compressor?

No compressor in my car. I haven't looked at the tire really closely, but it is fully inflated and ready to use, if needed. It seems to be a standard skinny, get-you-to-the-tire-store wheel.
