x51 package ....
Porsche newbie here. Is the x51 package on a 2003 911 a deal breaker???
I have a buddy selling his 2003 911 with less than 10k miles. It has the x51 package on it. He wants $39K for it. Its flawless btw. Whatta ya think ?? Thanks in advance. |

X51 is a good option. It is the more powerful engine tune with a better (louder/more aggressive) exhaust.

All depends on what you like. It would probably help if you'ld been shopping around for a while. Does it have limited slip and sport suspension?

I had a 40th Anniversary, which had the X51 option. I truly enjoyed driving it.

i just bought 2000 plain jane c2 with 58000 miles on it with new engine an warranty for 28500 so seems like your getting a pretty good deal ultra low miles and half price of new really,i looked six months for car but its what options your looking for an shape and year and model really,i didnt want any extras an i want to build my own engine an trany an the car is going to be caged an stripped for the track but still kept as a daily driver so getting the lowest price was a biggy for me because of all the changes the money i saved buying cheap pays for another engine an trany to hop up
but depends on what your plans are really

X50/51 packages are great if done at the factory. The price of having it done at the dealer is INSANE! Nothing wrong with a dealer doing it, if you have deep deep pockets.
Would I recommend one for buying? Absolutely! What drawbacks would there be to getting a car with this option? |
