1999 911 Stalling after warm restart
My 1999 911 C2 was stalling after a warm restart and the engine light was coming on.
Since I was taking it to the shop the next day, I had my guy look at it. My mechanic said it was throwing a Mass Air Flow error but that that that error was pretty generic(could be a vacuum issue as well) so was hesitant to replace it at 500.00 bucks but when it happened to him he replaced it anyway but it still occurred.
He then pulled the idle air control valve and said that it was badly carboned up. He cleaned and replaced it and it solved the problem. He warned that this could reoccur since it was a 'cleaned' part rather than new, but the replacement is easy.
I just figured I would post in case others had the same symptoms.
