Are you capable of installing new pads yourself? Have you looked at our hosts 996 brake pads? Do you have a favorite repair shop? Sometimes the rotors are not worn so much that you can put pads in, but more than likely the pads and rotors are worn such that both need to be replaced. If you had a Honda they turn the rotors to get useable rotors with no ridges and this allows the new pads to seat properly. Most people just replace the rotors and pads, and if needed change the brake fluid. Jim

No point being "cheap" on brakes. Porsche OEM brakes are the best for nearly all uses of your car. Same with the pads. Check our host here or search online. There are some dealers (suncoast?) that have great prices for OEM equipment.

And changing them is something you can certainly perform yourself, learn about your car, and save $hundreds compared to a dealer or even an independent shop. Pick up a manual and have at it!
