2007-2010 Targa Thinking about getting one

I have been an aircooled geek for 20 years and am thinking about getting a recent Targa 4 or 4S. I have not been able to find a good review of these cars compared with regular Carreras as to performance due to weight of the glass and what not.

Any thoughts?

Pelican's boards don't have a real big fan base for water cooled Porsches. You might try Rennlist or Renntech, if you haven't discovered them already.

Thanks guys. Useful reading. I spoke with the local dealership yesterday about finding a Targa 4 or 4S and he said it is really hard and I will most likely need to order. He strongly recommended this new 7 speed automatic that Porsche has made. That I found surprising and a little heretical until he let me drive a Carrera 4S with both a 6 spd and the 7spd auto. I get it now.

And greetings to you rrockhound from a fellow rockdoc.

That must be one hell of an auto. Good luck finding the Porsche of your dreams.
