2002 996 4S front light unit contact wear ?

My turn signal is not working (one on front beam) and the dealer tells me I probably need a complete front light unit. Supposedly this is common adter 10 years. Anyone else ever have this problem ?

Pull the head-light out, it's easy, actually the tools to do so are located in your tool-bag. Once out, you can pull out the prongs that the turn signal light bulb plugs into, it's not common to go out, it's common to have the dealer tell you it does so you can buy a new one though...

Thanks WD and funny spin on the answer. I pulled the beam and will play with it in the coming days. Thanks

No problem, I've helped a couple of friends figure out that it's only a slight bend of the headlamp rather than a replacement.

Good luck,

Update: THanks Wheel DYnamics that was exactly the problem and now works like a charm. Dealer had quoted close to $1000 and all it really cost was a few minutes.
