Does a 4S need same tires front & back ?
I need 2 new tires in back and was wondering if I have to put the same as the front which are currently Michelin Pilot Sport PS2.
$1100 CDN installed with tax...ouch Thanks.

I do not think you have to have the exact same tires.
Now, since you have to replace the rear tires with new ones, I would wait for the new Michelin Pilot Super Sport as they are very similar to the Pilot Sport 2 and may be even more affordable. They are getting rare and rave reviews in European magazines. Apparently, they will last 10-15% longer, give you better grip on the wet, and cost about the same if not less. Tire-rack may have them already or may be able to tell you when they will arrive. Yves |

I just checked Tire Rack, and they are indeed $125.00 less each, for the rear. However, you have to wait another 2 to 3 weeks.
In the meantime, go to your newsstand and read Excellence or any Porsche magazine. They are talking about this new tire with dual compound. Yves |
