Clutch Sticking
I have a 2002 996 with an odd problem. When shifting slowly (clutch pedal depressed slowly) everything works fine. However, when I jab at the clutch pedal during a track even, the clutch sticks and does not return causing over-reving. I have looked at the mechanism and do not see anything unusual. Has anyone seen this? Seems like inertia of jabbing the clutch is taking it somehow overcenter of something causing the sticking, but I really don't know.
Thanks for the help! Chris |

I would bleed the clutch fluid & brake fluid. Flush & bleed if it hasn't been done in last 2 years.

Yeah, that's been done. It does not seem to be a hydraulic issue, but more of a tolerance/over center type issue. Any other suggestions? Anyone have some workshop drawings of the area and linkage?
Thanks, Chris |
