Carrera GTS vs 911S w/930 motor

I would like to share my experience we you all, Of old tech vs New tech.

Every Saturday morning I go to Katies Cars and Cafe ,lots of cool exotics, A freind of mine just bought A new Carrera GTS A very nice water cooled car, I think it has some like 400 hp, my friend and I left the cars cafe and head to the hwy, we were just driving side by side , I called him on his cell and lets see what your car can do , I was cruzen in 5th gear at 3000 rpm's at 70mph, he's in 6th , I expected him to pull away , to my suprise I pulled away by a long ways, Hmmm, So He called me , that he wanted to try it again but in 5th gear , so again 70 mph me in 5th and him in 5th gear , we both punch it and My old 1976 911S CIS 3.3 turbo left him in the dust about 10 plus car lengths in about 5 seconds,Old vs New tech, sure he has sat nav and climate control and better gas mileage , But I rather have the pull away power,

Certainly and apples to orange comparison considering:
428hp and 2700lb= 6.3lb/hp vs 400hp and 3100lb= 7.8lb hp
Completely modded old TURBO vs modern NA car... I imagine at your speed, your in a "healthier" rpm range for your hp/tq curves as well. Seems in the new cars, 5,6th and soon7th tend to feel more "overdrive" oriented.

Who's got the specs of the 997 GTS hp/tq at 70mph?

428 RWHP, that would put at 498 at the crank, I guess my is a little lighter = some like 5.421/hp, I just expected to have a little lag , at that 3000 rpm's 70 mph I'm just cruzen ,so there is no boost at that point. but when I punch it
as the rpm's go up and boost comes in, at 3200rpm's I'm at .5 bar , and at 3500 rpm's I'm at 1.1bar

It's not just 5th and 6th. You've put in a motorsports 4.00 ring and pinion set and he's running a 3.44 stock final drive. You've got a significant gearing advantage there...
