Porsche Crest 997 won't start after washing car?

I have just bought a 997 c4s, and decided to hand wash it. I rinsed with a hosepipe, tried to put it back in the garage and it won't turn over. All the electrics work, but when I turn the key.. Nothing. Any ideas??

remove the battery connections and clean them,
then reconnect the battery
also check that the fuses are dry

plus there are water drains near the battery, if they are clogged it can let water where it shouldn't be.......had one where an audio shop ran a wire through the clutch line grommet and didn't put the grommet back in, when the drain clogged it was like a hose was turned on in the car through the missing grommet making the alarm brain under the seat get submerged.....ended up replacing the brain, all lock actuators in the car.......
that was in a 996, not sure if the 997 alarm brain is in the same spot......
check your carpets for wet spots, if you find any investigate it further.....

Get out of the car, Close it, lock it with the remote, unlock it with the remote, and try again.
