New horn needed?
I have a 2000 Carrera coupe that just turned 30,000 miles. The car is at the dealer getting the 30K service and the service adviser tells me that one of the horns is not working. The horn does make a beep. I suppose there are more than one?
From the dealer: Additionally, but minor, one of the horns is not working. It would run $327.21 to install a new low tone horn. Is this something I can do myself and do I need it at all? |

I found the new horn at Pelican Parts for $13.00 and purchased.
How difficult could it be to swap the horns?

It depends on if its the high or low pitched horn. The frt spoiler may need to be removed to replace low tone horn. Something you might not want to do in your garage

It is the low tone horn. Yeah, after doing some research, it looks like the front bumper needs to be removed to swap the horns. Something I don't think I can do after all.
