Tiptronic Performance

Is there any such thing as performance upgrades for a tiptronic trans?

No, all you can do is drive it hard & fast since it adapts to your driving style. Tips have 5%- 10% more diveline power loss than a manual trans!

I was just thinking: I was pretty impressed with the first car I drove with Tip (964). Seems like every other one since then has been sluggish. Would be nice to at least make it reliable for track use. I know a couple guys that have raced with Tip but I don't know what if anything they did. Is the Tip controlled by the DME or does it have its computer?

Tips have a computer just for the trans & a heat exchanger simular to the one on top of the engine.

thanks. I'll bet there are things that can be done to improve the trans. Its just that nobody has spent the time/money to do it.

Can a Durametrix do anything with the trans like check fault codes?

When you say they have 10% more drivetrain loss, assuming normal loss is 20%, would that then be 22%, or 30%?
