Transmission acting weird

I have a 1999 996 with Tiptronic. After a trans service, it's now acting weird. It doesn't shift right, and the **** indicator light flashes between "4" and the gear I've selected ("D", "R", etc).

Does this sound like an expensive repair?

The flashing means there is a fault. It could be a number of things. best not to speculate and bring it to your porsche service center.

I have seen an improperly filled trans cause shifting issues, I would get it to the shop and have them recheck the leven.
