Targa Roof Rack 996
I'm wanting to purchase a used 996 and would really like the Targa version. However I need to be able to transport a bike or skis. So have searched several Porsche forums, Tule and Yakima. It appears you can't put a roof rack on a 996 Targa and the only roof rack available for a 996 coupe is a Porsche OEM product.
Do I have this right? Thanks! |

I know you said roof, but there is also a hidden hitch mount (so you might be able to stick a thule carrier rack on the back). Made by Willwood I believe. Otherwise, yes, I think you are looking at only OEM solutions.
