Short trips

I read people talking about "short trips" but what does that exactly mean? I usually drive to breakfast, then to work, then lunch and back and finally to dinner and then home. I would say each of those trips in a given day is 15 to 20 mins in stop and go La traffic. Is that terrible for my car?

A short trip is when the engine is not able to get up to full operating temperature.

And when that happens moisture will accumulate in you engine this is why it is suggested that you change your oil at shorter intervals for short trip usage..
