Info on these 996 Wheels
Hey Pelican,
So my father purchased a 996 a few years back and he ended up giving it to me as a college grad present. I've done my research on the current wheels, however, I have not found a conclusive answer to the exact type of wheels they are. I'm a novice Porsche owner just looking for more information on these wheels, anything helps. Greatly appreciate your time and look forward to reading your guys feedback. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Those are wheels off an earlier 993. They may or may not be aftermarket.

They appear to be Speedline Daytona wheels.
Somewhat rare, quite desirable when original(esp for the 964/993 crowd) Not as desirable when polished, or, yikes, chromed.

There were a couple of other aftermarket versions of them as well over the years. They look nice on the car.
Cheers

To tell whether or not they are replica Speedlines or real Speedlines, you would need to take them off. You might be able to decipher some text using a mirror and a flashlight, quite hard to see though, I would think. Congratulations on graduation! Sounds like you got a good gift too .Take care, Last edited by FrenchToast; 04-28-2013 at 05:54 PM.. |
