quarter window panel removal

Can anyone tell me how to remove the backseat panel to access the quarter window on a 1999 996 cabrio? The window is down and I can't get it back up. (no jokes please) I tried pulling it up with a pair of pliers, but it won't budge. I also started to remove the interior panel by unscrewing every screw I could find, but I'm afraid I might break something if I keep pulling on it. All I want to do for now is get the window up.
Thanks

I believe you can find a complete description on how to remove the regulator either on Rennlist.com or Renntech.org.....

In order to bring the window up, you may have to remove the regulator, as the driving cable may be binding the mechanism.....

assuming the top is up and the switch doesn't work. Did you try putting the top up and holding the switch until all of the windows go up?

Check fuse D4
