engine drain plug
Hello- I just finished installing a new thermostat and water pump on my 99 996. I used a t-30 bit to unscrew the engine coolant drain plug, but that seemed to fit poorly. What is the correct tool for the plug? Thanks in advance.

It should be an 5mm Allen. Use a new crush washer and don't over tighten it. ...I don't remember what the specified torque is...

The reason a T-30 "fit poorly "is that the drain plug is a 5MM hex Allen
