Both door handles broke

I need advice on how to open either door on my ‘86 cabrio. The drivers door handle trigger snapped off right after the passenger door handle trigger failed. Can’t open either door to start repairs. Don’t feel like cutting though my top! Any thoughts?

Long thin bar with a hook, slide it in one side, pull release on the other work?

It's a cabrio so you should be able to pry out the glass enough at the top to insert something like a really stiff 1/8" steel rod long enough to reach and hook the opposite side door handle and pull it.
As long as the car is unlocked.

Could you not get a 800 pop a lock thing ? At least if it get janked their insurance might pay for damages?
Or if totally diy (and I can't get to my tools at the moment for car locks) you could carefully pry off the exterior weather strip for more room and work the pivot point of the lock handle/knob area.

Broken door handle update:

I was able to use a coat hanger through the passenger side window and after several adjustments to the hanger was able to pop it open!!
No damage to the trim and now I am ready to tackle the snapped trigger on the drivers door and the non-functional trigger on the passenger door. Yummy!

I have two black handles which have the triggers if you are interested in purchasing them.

They are the original ones off my 74 and don't have the lock wafers in the lock cylinders. I would take $25 for both plus shipping from Houston for them.
