I'm thinking of adding LED running lights in the valence of my 2000 996. I'm thinking this may be a bit gauche (sp?) but I believe in them and don't mind people mistaking the car for a newer model. I see several on the inet and wonder which are the best --most factory-- looking. Thoughts? jvm

Hey jvmcnair .. I've got the same desire and question. Also wondering about LED tail lights? There are several on the net but none work on the C4S.

I've got a set of LED's that I had planned on mounting into the lateral plastic strip in the front air intakes and use them as DRL's but have held off as someone accused me of wanting to look like an A4!
Instead I have a plan B where I'm thinking of installing a set of LED's in the little park lights (one side lights up only at a time). I disabled the DRL's as the halogens 'bake' the inside of the housing being in the 'ON' position during the day so I am thinking of cross wiring the park lights so that both come on when I position the light switch to the left setting. The LED's produce no heat and are pretty bright and could be used for the DLR function instead of the main low beam halogens.
