Carbon fibre bucket sport seats replacement
Ok, here's the deal. I want to buy a beautiful 997 coupe with factory carbon fiber sport seats, the non-adjustable kind. The seats slide fore and aft, but don't fold. So that makes getting anything but a briefcase back there impossible. Forget about child seats and kids. And that's my problem. As much as I like the seats, the car might as well be a Cayman. So here is the question... Can these seats be swapped out for normal seats, the heated and ventilated kind? Is all the wiring there from the factory to install the electrically controlled seats (are there airbags in the normal sea bolsters? Thanks for your advice.

As far as air bags you should be fine. I went between regular sport seats and CF bucket seats in my Cayman R. Not so sure about heating and cooling though.
I may be interested in the bucket seats if you're getting rid of them. |
