996 C4 suspension and drivetrain questions

I'm looking for parts for a build.

What are the differences between C2 and C4 996 front suspension, are the front hubs/ Knuckles the only differences or are the control arm links also different?

Is front differential gearing the same between manual and auto? Is it the same through the years and is the gearing the same between the C4 and the C4S?

Not sure on the details but you can go to porsche us website and look at pet, and compare part numbers between the models. ....It will download as a pdf file per selected car.

I recently converted a c4s to 2wd.... Pretty strait forward. ...Going that way. ...lol

Thanks!

I have a few technical questions. What is the width between the two front shock towers/ the center of strut? What are the widths of the rear? What is the height and width of the shifter tunnel between the seats?

I'm trying to get an idea of the dimensions. I don't have a 996 I just want to use the suspension and drivetrain in a 911.

I have a 1999 996 C4 roll over. Complete drive train 6 spd manual, and front suspension all good. Plus wirerring harness and electrical parts for conversion if needed?
I can make a very good deal on a all you need. When you figer out what you need that is.
As far as I can see C2 and C4 share very similar front suspensions.

Ahhhhh.......air cooled body with 996 running gear.....cool stuff, thought about that many times. ....
i don't have one at home i can measure, but have 4 or 5 at the shop......so could probably measure next week......
C2 and c4 are the same except for the torque tube and front spindles from what I've seen.
The lower suspension points all bolt to a front and rear sub frame, are you modding the chassis to accommodate these? That's how i'd do it lol
