996 passenger door won't open from either side!

Hello,

I have a 1998 996 Cabriolet with a passenger door that is remaining locked. I can hear the central locking actuator moving inside both doors and the driver's side is fine. It's as if the lock mech itself is sticking or broken somehow as the door won't open from the inside or outside. The window is dropping 1/4" as normal, indicating good microswitches. Could the failure of P/N 996-537-445-02 affect both the inside and outside door handles or could it be another part?
