Wayne - does this stop the second gear popout problem permanently? I did see that it is not an option if wear has started. Thanks

I'm curious as well... In the article it says:
Performance Gain: Car will no longer pop out of second gear. But in the body of the write up it says "... prevents the gear from popping out, provided that there is not already damage to the internal components of the transmission." I believe my second gear synco ring is causing the second gear pop out. I want to know if this GBox Second Gear Shift Detent will resolve my second gear pop out due to my second gear syncro ring being damaged. Thank you. |

The part does not repair the damage. It may stop the pop-out if the damage is in the early stages. In my limited experience it is an effective preventative not a miracle cure for advanced problems.
Check the cables & cable fittings for problems too. Erik Johnson is a P-car gearbox guru who may help you.
