Is there any way to get a new gasket for around the headlight assembly? I want to strip down my headlight assemblies on my 996 to recondition the lenses to make them clearer, and rebulb all the lights with better bulbs especially headlamps - rather than pay $1300 a piece just for slightly better light and aesthetics. But I know as soon as I start mucking about that gasket is going to disintegrate on me.

I could not find the gasket separately. Is there a part number anywhere on the old gasket?? Could you send me a photo of the exact gasket you are looking to replace?

Hey Casey,
This is the gasket, it seals the outside of each headlight assembly against the car body. I haven't removed them, but it feels very tacky and ready to fall apart - I'd like to have new ones on hand, so I can pop off the lens, recondition all the plastic, at the same time as re-bulbing it; without fear of having the gasket disintegrate. ![]() While I have someone's attention, is there part numbers for these round screw nut clips that hold down the liner in the frunk, as seen here? ![]() And even further questions: does Pelican carry the third brake light housing (I can find the clip for the third brake light, but not the whole thing itself - my whole third brake light is functional, but it's kinda "meh" and I've seen them for around $100, but not on Pelican). Also, do we have the roof rack clip parts (I think: 99655972900, 99655940501, and 99655940301) to fix them up so they don't look all collapsed as the plastic fails? |
