Drive engine to workshop
I have a 2003 996 4s which has been meticulously maintained with 81000 miles.
I have driven it regularly with no issues until Xmas when it was not used or started For a few weeks and when started it up it ran a bit rough and then the warning came on drive to workshop.would be grateful for help. I thought with sitting in the cold outside maybe a factor as had no probs before. |

That is typically caused by misfires that would hurt the emissions system, mostly the cats. When was the last time you changed plugs and coils? If it has been a long time maybe you have some cracked coils or rodent damage.

Damaging misfire generally will trigger a flashing CEL as well.
