Tips on shipping seats?
Need to ship some seats, thinking U-haul wardrobe boxes and UPS ground. Any tips or alternatives would be appreciated. Thanks

I had a seat shipped to me via Greyhound. Works well if you have a Greyhound near you. About 1/2 the cost of UPS or FedEx.

Often helps to detach the backs from the bottoms to better fit into the boxes.

The U-Haul wardrobe boxes work great for shipping seats. Pick up a roll or two of bubble wrap as well to help protect the seats. Greyhound freight is the cheapest but can also the slowest. It a space as available shipper. That said, since you would be paying by volume on boxes they are as others have written about 50% of the cost for UPS or FedEx. I have used them for both seats and wheel/tire sets.
